Axel Kicillof promised to be a "shield" against Javier Milei's program and supported the workers.

In the context of Labor Day, the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof , published a message on social media thanking the people of Buenos Aires and affirming that he will continue to be a "shield" against President Javier Milei 's economic program . In his greeting, he highlighted the daily efforts of workers who, he said, "bring the province forward."
"On Workers' Day, I want to thank you for your daily efforts to move the province of Buenos Aires forward. We will continue doing everything necessary to act as a shield and a safety net against the national government's economic program , which threatens the future of our people," the president wrote.

The Buenos Aires government also issued an institutional message, highlighting the commitment of those who work every day to build a province with greater development, equality, and opportunities.
Following the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) mobilization, Kicillof met with union leaders at the Azopardo headquarters. During the meeting, they analyzed the effects of the economic adjustment on production and employment in the province.
"The national government's policies are beginning to create serious problems for Buenos Aires's productive sector," said Axel Kicillof after the meeting. He also emphasized that the labor movement will be key to halting this economic model.
Axel Kicillof warned that the measures promoted by the Casa Rosada directly affect the most vulnerable sectors. " Javier Milei 's government is going against jobs, wages, pensions, and is destroying industry," he stated.
According to him, this situation is not merely ideological. In his opinion, it is a model that "attacks everything the province represents and needs to grow." Therefore, he reiterated that he will decisively address the national economic program .
"From the Province, we will continue to defend workers' rights. This adjustment puts the future of millions of people at risk," he concluded.
